Arnold Schwarzenegger recently announced on the popular The Howard Stern Show that he is ready to revisit the 1988 hit comedy Twins and reprise his role as the odd twin brother of Danny DeVito. The Terminator explained that they have already formulated the main concept of the new movie, which would feature the addition of a surprising third brother. Thus the Film sequel could be dubbed as Triplets.

The original comedy was a story about a physically perfect but innocent man (Schwarzenegger) who goes in search of his long-lost twin brother, who is a short small-time crook (DeVito).

The film had a decent budget of $15 million (no small sum in 1988), and albeit its mixed reviews, became a box office success. Twins was a special success to Schwarzenegger and DeVito as well, who both agreed with the studio to take 20% of the film's box office instead of their usual salaries, which resulted in them receiving the biggest paychecks of their movie careers.

Although more than 25 years passed since the original movie (which had no sequel), as Hollywood is successfully remaking and rebooting stories like the record-breaking dinosaur flick Jurassic Park and the astonishing Independence Day, it looks like Twins will receive a sequel as well. At least Schwarzenegger was eager about continuing the movie on The Howard Stern Show recently.

The Terminator explained that the sequel would start with the odd duo finding out at their mother's funeral, after reading her will, that there's actually three of them. More interestingly the third brother would be played by Eddie Murphy, to make the trio even more funny. According to Schwarzenegger all three stars are ready to make the new movie, which would be called Triplets and that they are only waiting on the screenwriters Josh Gad and Ryan Dixon to finish fine-tuning the script.

Schwarzenegger returned to acting in 2010, after his political career as the Governor of California ended, and has been very active since, appearing in action movies like The Expendables series (2010-2014), The Last Stand (2013), Escape Plan (2013) and Sabotage (2014). He will also appear again in his most famous role as Terminator in the upcoming Terminator Genisys movie (UK premiere date 2nd July).
