Zlatan Ibrahimovic could be a big profile departure from Manchester United at the end of the season, while out-of-favour Morgan Schneiderlin could leave the club sooner. Friday's newspaper rumours suggest that Ibrahimovic's stay at Old Trafford will be a shortlived one.
Is Zlatan Ibrahimovic set to join the MLS?
Swedish international Ibrahimovic only arrived in Manchester at the start of the season on a free transfer from Paris Saint-Germain, but could be leaving at the end of the campaign according to newspaper reports. The Sun newspaper claim that LA Galaxy are preparing a big money offer to tempt Ibrahimovic to the United States this summer, where he would become the MLS' marquee name and follow in the footsteps of David Beckham and Steven Gerrard as Galaxy players.
United have been linked with a move to sign Antoine Griezmann from Atletico Madrid in the summer.
Which club is Morgan Schneiderlin set to join
Schneiderlin, meanwhile, could be set to leave Manchester United in the January transfer window with the Frenchman linked with a move to Everton. Former Southampton midfielder Schneiderlin has struggled for playing time under Jose Mourinho and Everton are preparing a £24 million move according to the Daily Mail newspaper. He was a regular in the United side last season under Louis Van Gaal, but has been unable to catch Mourinho's eye.
Will Bastian Schweinsteiger leave Manchester United?
One United star who looks unlikely to leave the club is Bastian Schweinsteiger, despite the veteran German midfielder being left out in the cold this season.
The German was told to train with the under-21 side after Mourinho took charge and had little future. But he has crept back into Mourinho's first-team squad at Old Trafford having been cast aside upon his appointment as manager, and has featured on the bench in the Premier League in recent weeks. Schweinsteiger was linked with a possible move back to the Bundesliga when the January transfer window opens, but Borussia Monchengladbach have ruled themselves out of a potential deal to sign the midfielder.
United still look set for a big January transfer window with five players picked out who the Red Devils could sign.
