There is an alleged leak regarding the “Star Wars: Episode IX” plotline circling online.
Although it has been known that any storyline connected to the sequel trilogy’s finale might be just a big rumour or a fan-theory, the credibility of the new leak is quite believable as it came from the same source that leaked some accurate details about “Star Wars: The Last Jedi.”
Lucasfilm is now preparing for the second trilogy’s final installment's production in July. J.J. Abrams is now expected to finish the movie’s script. In fact, the Film’s casting descriptions are now revealed while other details are bound to secrecy.
So, let’s see how true this leak could be, to determine its validity.
The First Order’s threat
The Reddit user FOOSLS shared the “Star Wars: Episode IX” leaked plotline. The Redditor claimed he had read the upcoming film’s early storyboard as he revealed “two separate plot threads” that will make up the movie.
Just as John Boyega teased, FOOSLS revealed the movie’s ninth installment will be featuring a major time jump. It will be set five years after the events of “The Last Jedi.” Here, the galaxy is at peace. The new Supreme Leader Kylo Ren (Adam Driver), is described as a “benevolent ruler” and some people from the Resistance wonder why they are still fighting.
On the other hand, Rey (Daisy Ridley), Poe (Oscar Isaac), and General Leia Organa (Carrie Fisher) know there is still a big threat from the First Order, so they continuously try their best to stop them.
They will get a tip from the First Order mole that could change everything. Will Lucasfilm use CGI to bring Leia back to the film?
A major plot twist
With the use of their intel, the Resistance will visit a planet in the Unknown Regions. Here, they will be rescuing a “female alien prodigy” that could help them to explore the foreign place.
They will then discover an Atlantic world that cradles a manufacturing station “powered by the populations of conquered worlds,” which is the reason behind First Order’s unlimited resources.
The Resistance will be on a mission to “liberate the captives” and to let the galaxy know what they discovered in the Unknown Regions.
However, in a major plot twist happening in “Star Wars: Episode IX,” they will find out General Hux (Domhnall Gleeson) is the one behind this. He is trying to turn everyone against Kylo Ren, so he can lead and control the First Order.
Open communication
Additionally, Kylo Ren will be sending the Knights of Ren to search for the remaining Force users across the universe. From there, they will find out Rey is protected. However, the communication between the two will continue and they will later realize they are already falling in love with each other.
