While her international debut in “Quantico” series is making her and her fans smile endlessly, Priyanka Chopra’s cap has yet another feather. Her fans are not just proud but their happiness has sky rocketed with news of our very own Desi girl reaching out to the Oscars. The Bollywood actress is all ready to present at the upcoming Oscars i.e. 88th Academy Awards. With this the 33 year old actress becomes the sole representative of India at 2016 Oscar ceremony. Priyanka sure is working hard as she will be presenting at Oscars amidst her American sitcom “Quantico”shoots, her music video recordings and shooting and promoting her next titled “Jai Gangaajal”.
She has definitely outdone herself in many ways which is proven also by her winning the People’s Choice Awards recently for her “Quantico” performance.
Priyanka Chopra is slated to present with the second slate of presenters which includes Olivia Munn, Reese Witherspoon, Julianne Moore and Kerry Washington amongst others. Priyanka is one of the thirteen members who are named as presenters at the elite ceremony.
Priyanka communicated the news and her excitement through her official Twitter handle. Almost the entire Bollywood then took over Twitter with their congratulatory messages which included Dia Mirza, Vir Das and Priyanka’s next movie “Jai Gangaajal’ director Prakash Jha.
The good news is accompanied by a bad news that India’s official entry titled “Court” to the best foreign film category couldn’t make it to the top five final movies selected in the above mentionedcategory.
The Oscars 2016 will be hosted by Chris Rock and are scheduled to be announced on February 28, 2016 in Hollywood, California and will be aired live on ABC channel on the same day. India will have a really good reason to watch the ceremony this time on February 29th, 2016. We wish Priyanka Chopra all the best for her appearance at the most respected award ceremony. We will have to wait and watch what the “Exotic” lady decides to wear on the special day.
