The news came across as a pleasant surprise to a large number of Hindi speaking Indian population, when Prince Charles unleashed his Hindi knowledge. At Elephant Family Charity, London mom and Bollywood singer Kanika Kapoor had a brief interaction with Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwell. Prince Charles revealed his knowledge of Hindi and admitted that the word 'Mehbooba' (Hindi for beloved) was one of his favourite Hindi words. While chatting with Kanika, Prince Charles disclosed that he often uses the word 'mehbooba' to address his wife Camilla.

We wonder if the Prince has heard of the many Bollywood numbers based on the word 'mehbooba'. The most popular one being 'mehbooba mehbooba' from the evergreen hit Sholay, composed by RD Burman. Kanika was part of the 'Travels to my Elephants' by Elephant Family charity, hosted by the Prince. Prince Charles and Camilla as joint presidents, aim to protect the endangered Asian elephants from extinction. The organisation will organise a unique celebrity auto rickshaw race to be held in November in India where Kanika will be performing.

The race will have a few prominent members of the royalty and Celebrities such as Susan Sarandon and Princess Beatrice. The Society will organise Indian rickshaw adventure, which is a fundraising event and the proceeds will be utilised for social cause.

Kanika is set to perform at their celebrity auto rickshaw race this November, to be held in India.

Elephant Family is the UK's biggest funder of the endangered Asian elephant, of which are reduced to only 35,000-40,000 in number. Since its launch in 2002, the charity has invested over £6m in conservation projects across Asia and has supported local communities to reduce incidents of human-elephant conflicts.

Besides conversation of elephants, it has also installed elephant sculptures and painting across UK.

Lucknow born and London bred, Kanika is mother of three and has belted out some popular party numbers for Bollywood films. She is more famous as the singer of Baby Doll from Ragini MMS 2 which was shot on adult star Sunny Leone.

She has also sung Chittiyan Kaliyaan, Chil Gaye Naina and Lovely from Shah Rukh Khan's hit Happy New Year. Settled in London, Kanika regularly travels to Mumbai for the recording of her songs. She has been participating at stage shows and was a hit performer at the IIFA held in Malaysia, recently.
