Marcos Rojo struggled with Manchester United in the season with 'fitness and form'
The Manchester Evening News noted that Marcos Rojo "struggled for form and fitness during the 2018/19 season at Manchester United." Additionally, they reminded fans that Argentia "snubbed him for this summer's Copa America." Well, that's no big surprise as the defender actually had injury issues and ended up playing only eight games, and not managing the full 90 minutes in any of those.
In any event, it seems that with his contract expiring next year, he's choosing to stay at Manchester United, if they'll keep him on. He told El Dia that in fact, Boca approached him before, but he feels he prefers staying in Europe. Argentina's not really where he wants to be, at this time. Evening News wrote that he said, "Nico Burdisso called me, who was a teammate of mine from the national team...when he took over at Boca." However, he did say while one day he might return to Argentina, it's not now.
