To say that 2016 was an auspicious year for Shahrukh Khan, the alleged Bollywood King, holds true to a certain extent as this year we saw his screen charisma in two movies, "Fan" (in a double role) and "Dear Zindagi," shared with Alia Bhatt.

The third and much-hyped Hindi flick "Raees" has been kept waiting on the threshold, being pushed around since its scheduled July release.

The reason "Raees" was delayed and finally rescheduled for 25th January, almost six months later, is still a mystery. Was it withheld in fear of Salman Khan’s "Sultan," to be released on Eid or was it an unsigned pact between the two friends that they would steer clear of each other’s way?

Maybe friendship had induced the postponement of its release, but what reasons did the production have for not taking through its Diwali release? Were "Ae Dil Hai Mushkil" and "Shivaay" considered to be a possible threat? One is left to wonder!

Mahira Khan's role reduced?

After the ban on Pakistani artists in India, the rumor is that the role of Mahira Khan has been reduced and many scenes have been re-shot.

Suddenly news breaks through that "Raees, which had been completely undersigned for these past months is eagerly awaited, the reason being a sneak preview of "Raees", scheduled on 7th December.

Breathlessness and anticipated gushiness over the dark and intense Shahrukh as Raees Bhai are already overfilling Twitter and other sites.

SRK as underworld don?

The little news that has over spilled is that Shahrukh Khan is portraying the screen version of Abdul Latif, an associate of the underworld don, Dawood Ibrahim, who was shot dead by the cops in 1997.

With Mahira Khan, Pakistani actress, as his co-star, Shahrukh is all set to captivate the audience on 26th January 2017. Not only this, Sunny Leone will be seen sizzling the screen with her scintillating performance in a song.
