Sir Elton John is retiring from touring the world. He made the announcement earlier this year that the “Farewell Yellow Brick Road” tour would be his last time on the road. This means that UK fans will have their last chance to see John perform live in the UK.
Elton had said he was excited to be saying goodbye in what he termed a really "fantastic way.” The Evening Standard quotes John as saying he wishes to thank his extraordinary fans for their support throughout his career, and especially those who wish to see his final “Farewell Yellow Brick Road” tour.
The initial UK tour dates have now been revealed.

Elton said he is very happy to announce the first dates of his UK “Farewell Yellow Brick Road” tour with shows in Hove and Cardiff, as well as dates in Dublin, Ireland. He said audiences in both Wales and the South Coast have always been among his most exciting and welcoming fans he has played to during his 42-year career.
He again said how excited he and his supporting band were to say goodbye in this way, adding that it is going to be amazing.
The UK dates above are close to the beginning of the tour, which will span five continents with an amazing 300 shows. John will be appearing in Allentown, Pennsylvania on 7 September, prior to the UK dates.
The end of the tour will be in 2021.
300 million Elton John records sold
Over the course of his incredible music career, John has sold more than 300 million records. The Evening Standard reports that Elton recently asked a host of music artists, including Lady Gaga, Ed Sheeran and Demi Lovato, to reinterpret his music for a cover album under the title “Revamp.” With those musicians, the album can only be excellent.

You can’t keep a good musician down, and, as reported by NME, Elton recently took part in a rap battle for an American Snicker advert. In the ad, John takes the role of rapper Boogie’s “hungry alter-ego.” Just as Boogie’s turn in the rap battle is announced, Elton is suddenly revealed, totally confusing the party-goers by singing part of his duet with Kiki Dee in 1976, “Don’t Go Breaking My Heart.” John is then handed a Snickers bar and is told you always lose your edge when you’re hungry. Readers can enjoy the advert below.
