Guns N’ Roses have shared an earlier version of their classic track, “November Rain.” This vocal and piano version of the iconic song was recorded in studio in 1986. It has now been lifted from their upcoming deluxe edition of the album, “Appetite For Destruction,” and uploaded to the band’s Vevo page on YouTube for our enjoyment.

This treat comes as the band prepares to release a reissued version of their debut album today, 29th June. The album was first released in 1987.

Piano and vocal version of ‘November Rain’

As reported yesterday by Louder, the 1986 version of “November Rain” was recorded at the Sound City Studios in Los Angeles.

However, the original song was not released until 1991 on the band’s “Use Your Illusion I” album. The raw sounding but highly enjoyable piano and vocal version is included below for your listening pleasure.

Earlier this year, it was announced that there would be a reissue of “Appetite For Destruction.” The deluxe album will be sold in a variety of formats to suit all fans, including a set of seven LPs and seven 7-inch records and five CD discs.

The reissue of the Guns N' Roses album will include 73 tracks, 49 of which have never previously been released. The deluxe edition will also include a 96-page, hand-bound book of previously unreleased photos of the band, taken from Axl Rose’s personal archives.

There will also be 12 litho illustrations, each of which relates to tracks on the album along with various other replica memorabilia.

NME reports that the band earlier this month headlined with Foo Fighters at the Firenze Rocks festival in Florence, Italy.

The band also headlined at the Download Festival in the U.K. However, Louder reports they are currently travelling across Europe as part of their "Not In This Lifetime" tour. They have recently been in Bordeaux.
