Vidya Balan to play a Brothel Madam
Vidya Balan is all geared up to play the character of a brothel head madam in next movie titled Begum Jaan. The movie which is being directed by Srijit Mukherjee is an official remake of a Bengali movie titled Raj Kahini.

It is being produced by the fearless Mahesh Bhatt and the plot revolves around the effects of partition on the brothel houses and the lives of prostitutes in the brothel including that of the brothel head i.e. Begum Jaan. Rituparno Sengupta had essayed the role of Begum Jaan in the Bengali film which now will be helmed by The Balan.
The movie holds special importance for Bengal since Punjab and Bengal states experienced partition in a heart breaking manner. A total of 11 sex workers will be shown working under Begun Jaan and it features an entirely new cast though the original movie had a lot of reputed Bengali cinema actors playing important roles. In fact none of the actors are said to be repeated in the Hindi remake and the cast apart from Vidya will be soon revealed. She was also reported to have said that more movies should be made on this heart breaking saga of partition.
Begum Jaan shoot to begin in first week of June 2016
The shoot is slated to begin in June 2016 and we must say that it surely raises the excitement levels.
The national award winning actress looks surely on a roll, currently she is shooting for her next titled TEEN which stars Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan and is creating interest already. We will have to wait and watch how Balan the performer who has carried Bollywood movies on her shoulders makes this one a superlative entertainer indeed.
