S S Rajamouli’s magnum opus Baahubali created a history at the box office breaking all records. Being a regional Film the movie had not only surpassed all expectations but its Hindi version also gave Bollywood a new level of superlative VFX which no other Bollywood movie is able to surpass even today.

The mammoth success of Baahubali was also complimented by a very obvious sequel but the date was announced only today. The most asked question post the first movie which was “Who killed Kattappa” will finally find an answer on 14th April 2017 which is announced as the release date for Baahubali The Conclusion.

Being a Good Friday and also the Tamil New Year, the release date seems to be strategically well placed since it marks a holiday for most of the working class of the country. Prabhas who stars in the sequel too announced the date via his official Twitter handle. There can also be a clash with Bollywood’s action kumar Akshay Kumar and Rajnikanth’s Robot 2 which is also expected to release on the same day. Now that Baahubali sequeal has confirmed the release date, the curiosity levels for knowing the Robot 2 release date have reached its epitome. The clash though is rumored is unlikely to happen considering the mind bogglingly huge budgets of these movies, Baahubali 2 has a cost between Rs 10-180 crore while Robot 2 has a budget of around Rs 350 crore.

While the majority of the movie will be shot by the end of 2016, the remainder months will be used up for the extraordinary post production and CIG work which the franchise has gained huge fan following.

Directed by the same director, apart from a few new actors it will also star Rana Daggubati, Anuksha Shetty, Sathyaraj and Tamannah Bhatia who all were part of the first installment too.

Baahubali which was released on 10th July 2015 in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi collected over a whooping Rs.350 crore at the worldwide box office. Predictions for the sequels are even higher and everyone has even higher expectations as far as the VFX of his sequel is concerned.
