The Times of India Film Awards popularly known as TOIFA 2016 which will be held in Dubai this year seems to be already enchanted by the Bajirao Mastani music. The movie has been nominated in a massive five categories which include Best Album, Best Playback Singer – Female, Best Playback Singer – Male,Music Composer of the year and last but not the least Song of the year.

TOIFA is a one of its kind global IP from the Times of India Group which works towards using the power of Bollywood to leverage brands and destinations in the hearts of global Indians.

It promotes improved economic impact through trade and tourism. Other movies which have been nominated in the music category and which will be competing against Bajirao Mastani include Hamari Adhuri Kahaani and Dum Laga Ke Haisha. The two songs “Deewani Mastani” and “Aayat” has interestingly resulted into Director Sanjay Leela Bhansali bagging two nominations in the Music Composer category. Another movie to have grabbed maximum nominations is Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone’s Piku which is nominated in a total of seven categories, Bajirao Mastani on the other hand has a total of six nominations five of which are in the music category alone.

The said award ceremony will be held on 18th March 2016 at the famous Dubai International Stadium located at Dubai Sports City.

On the singers front Shreya Ghosal and Arijit Singh both of whom have now become a synonym with soulful Bollywood music have bagged three nominations each.

The TOIFA 2016 award night will be a grand affair witnessing the presence of Bollywood superstars some of whom will even perform at the event. Bollywood biggies like Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Varun Dhawan and the stylish Yo Yo Honey Singh.

Ranveer Singh who recently has been the life of every award show with his patent electrifying energy shall also be present at TOIFA 2016. Another attraction of the ceremony is Bollywood’s heartthrob Salman Khan’s performance. Looks like Dubai audiences is really in for a treat on the TOIFA 2016 grand Bollywood night.
