Over the next couple of months, a number of popular series are returning to Netflix for new seasons.
For sci-fi fans, "Star Trek: Discovery" is back complete with a young Spock. Marvel's "The Punisher" also returns. Sitcom fans can soon watch the second part of season 2 of "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt," while another funny show "Brooklyn Nine-Nine” is also coming back. 'Star Trek: Discovery' season 2 - 18 January 2019
The Discovery heads off on a new mission under temporary captain, Christopher Pike. The show screens on CBS All Access in the USA and Netflix in the UK. Episodes will be streamed weekly, so no bingeing for now. In season two, we will get to meet the young Spock, originally played by the late actor Leonard Nimoy and played by Ethan Peck. Spock is the adopted brother of Michael Burnham.
'The Punisher' season 2 - 18 January 2019
The Marvel show is about the most violent anti-hero, Frank Castle played by Jon Bernthal. Newcomers to season two include Floriana Lima (“Supergirl”) as Krista Dumont, Giorgia Whigham as Amy Bendix and Josh Stewart as John Pilgrim. Returning stars are Amber Rose Revah as Dinah Madani, Jason R Moore as Curtis Hoyle and Ben Barnes as Billy Russo/Jigsaw.
'Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt' season 4 part 2 - 25 January 2019
The final episodes of season 4 of the popular comedy show. The story of Kimmy Schmidt (Ellie Kemper) continues as she settles into life in New York City. Her positive attitude and smile continue with haste in the second half of season 4.
'Brooklyn Nine-Nine' season 5 - 8 March 2019
“Brooklyn Nine-Nine” is a Golden Globe-winning cop sitcom which shows the cops catching the bad guys and having all kinds of fun during their time off. Andy Samberg stars as Jake Peralta, a detective, while his boss, Captain Holt is played by Andre Braugher. If you haven't watched the show, stream and binge the previous seasons.
'After Life' - 8 March 2019
Ricky Gervais plays a grieving widower who decides to do anything and everything he wants for the rest of his life. David Bradley (“Game of Thrones”) and Penelope Wilton (“Downton Abbey”) also star. In the video, Ricky is interviewed about his new series.
