To many visitors, Málaga is just an "airport" they fly into on their Costa del Sol holiday. As they arrive, they pick up their rental car and drive off to Fuengirola, Benalmádena, Marbella and other coastal resorts.

The city is split into two, with the modern side of the city and the quaint and beautiful historic quarter. Museo Picasso Málaga - Palacio de Buenavista, Calle San Agustín, 8, Málaga, Spain
Renowned Spanish artist Pablo Ruiz Picasso was born in Málaga. In 2003, the Buenavista Palace was turned into the Museo Picasso Málaga, which displays many of the artist’s paintings. It is also possible to visit Picasso’s birthplace and home in Plaza de la Merced in the centre of the city.
The Cathedral of Málaga - Calle Molina Lario, 9, Málaga, Spain
The Cathedral of Málaga is built between the years 1528-1782 in the Renaissance architectural tradition with soaring and beautiful interior ceilings. The cathedral bears the nickname “La Manquita” (the one-armed woman”) due to the fact that one of the towers was curiously left unbuilt due to lack of funds.
