Margot Robbie’s portrayal as former psychiatrist Harley Quinn has earned her praise, despite the same reaction not being given to the ‘Suicide Squad’ Film itself. It has now been announced that Robbie will return for the all-female villain movie ‘Gotham City Sirens’

The project which Margot is producing has been fast tracked because of ‘Suicide Squad’s director David Ayers jumping on board. The director has teased that viewers will get to see an appearances from both Catwoman and Poison Ivy. It looks like Megan Fox is eyeing up a role as Poison Ivy, a character last portrayed on film by Uma Thurman.

‘Gotham City Sirens’ was a recently released DC comic title that focused on the adventures of Harley Quinn, Catwoman and Poison Ivy, who work as an evil team to do their own bidding. The film is a passion project of Margot Robbie, who while researching her character for ‘Suicide Squad’ became interested in other female DC characters. She developed the film alongside an unidentified writer before taking the film to Warner Brothers, who soon picked it up.

Fox is a comic book fan

‘Bleeding Cool’ have reported that ‘Jennifer’s Body’ actress Megan Fox has recently been ordering very specific comics including pre-New 52 ‘Harley Quinn’ #14, #17, and #38, with the copies being sent to her Warner Brothers address.

These editions explore the relationship between Poison Ivy and Harley Quinn. While the habits of celebrities shopping is not enough to form a casting announcement, it is a good case of timing. Fox, who was last seen in the sequel to ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’, singled out her desire to play the Batman villain in 2014.

The actress is a known comic book fan and in 2014 she expressed interested in playing either Poison Ivy or Red Sonja when asked who was her dream comic book role.

Fox is no stranger to big budget franchise films after starring in both the ‘Transformers’ franchise and the ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’, she also starred in the adaption of ‘Jonah Hex’. There is no guarantee she is even being considered for the role as this film is likely to cause competition between actresses longing to play the role of the evil Gotham sirens.

No official word has come from either Fox or Warner Bros. as of yet, regarding any casting other than Robbie or any featured character’s other then Harley.

Will Megan get the role of the dangerous vixen? Time will only tell on this piece of casting.
