After demolishing soon to be a Hall of Famer, Cerrone in 40 seconds, Conor Mcgregor issued a challenge to anybody in his weight class. Notable names such as the current Welterweight Champion, Kamaru Usman and arguably one of the best finishers in the sport today, Jorge “Gamebred” Masvidal was in the building but they aren’t that convinced by The King’s performance.

The King is Back

After having a brief hiatus in the MMA world, Conor McGregor finally got his match. It was not an easy task, but it shows why The Notorious is considered as one of the greatest of all time.

McGregor faced a grizzled veteran who shattered various records in the company, including most finishes with 16. However, the fighting Irishman showed no slowing down as he destroyed “Cowboy” in just 1 round. Although some fight analysts were a bit worried about McGregor’s mental focus, he again defied them.

The Rematch: McGregor vs Nurmagomedov

The King is finally back. That’s what most of the web magazines have reported. But in reality, the King never left in the name of Khabib Nurmagomedov. It is no secret that Nurmagomedov didn’t only beat McGregor but he dominated him in all aspects of the game including standup. During the post interview of UFC 246, a lot was already anticipating about a possible match with the baddest man in their division, Jorge Masvidal.

To the delight and surprise of the crowd, UFC, Dana White was leaning to the idea of “The Rematch”.

However, this might be harder to plan than the first one due to the circumstances that had happened in their initial fight. McGregor had already called out Nurmagomedov countless times, but The Eagle isn’t interested in the idea.

For those who forgot, the outcome of their fight was overshadowed with the brawl that had happened after the fight. Like his monicker, Khabib climb out of the ring and jumped in to McGregor’s corner and started a brawl. This was out of character for The Eagle. But this was just a reminder to everybody, especially McGregor not to disrespect his or any family.

Also, there is a list of demands from Nurmagomedov’s camp prior to even considering the much awaited rematch.

His trainer and father stated that if they want to call the fight, they better do it in Russia. They are also demanding a big paycheck, which is around $100 Million. Dana White is clear about not having the possibility of making the fight outside the US due to multiple issues.

Nurmagomedov vs Ferguson

On the other hand, Khabib has already started his training camp as he is about to face the slugger in Tony Ferguson. El CuCuy isn’t a slouch either as he has the record of most consecutive wins in UFC lightweight history with 12. Yes, a lot of people want the rematch between McGregor and Khabib but if they do want an exciting fight, Conor needs to fight Jorge Masvidal.
