This month, Arsenal and Chelsea will face each other two more times in the Carabao Cup. This will be a delight for the supporters if both teams show the same determination to win in these matches.

Principally, in a usual cool afternoon at London, it looked like these two rivals were playing an important match. Nowadays, Arsenal is in the sixth position, five points below Liverpool, the team that occupies the last Champions League position.

Even as the 'Gunners' displayed a competent performance they should have scored more goals in this 2-2 match as they have only won one game of their last four matches. Unfortunately for them, teams such as Liverpool, Manchester United and Chelsea are working better, despite the fatigue of the Champions League.

Their rivals of yesterday were keeping the draw until the 63rd minute, partly because Courtois was playing amazingly. After that, Wilshere scored but was denied by Hazard, who was constantly a menace for the Arsenal defenders.

The Spanish full-backs

Although neither Alonso or Bellerín are usually being called by Julen Lopetegui to play with the national team, they have been offering a consistent performance in the last years.

On the other hand, players such as Jordi Alba or Carvajal are still playing regularly in their teams, therefore, it doesn't look unfair that the Londoner's full-backs are still waiting for their opportunity.

Nonetheless, their path in the Premier League is easier for them, and yesterday, both of them scored to eventually reach a draw in one of the best matches of the season.

Anyway, Chelsea may be more satisfied with the point, at least for the feeling that Arsenal is seven points below them, and certainly, Hazard and Morata are raising their skills for the decisive part of the year.

Diego Costa returns

Though he was rarely fully praised by Antonio Conte, undoubtedly Diego Costa was an essential part of the last two Premier League titles obtained by Chelsea.

And yet, Morata is helping his fans to forget the striker. However, yesterday he showed at Atletico Madrid, in his debut after his return, that he has not lost his sight of the goal.

In fact, yesterday he scored just six minutes after entering on the pitch against Lleida in Copa del Rey. Among the supporters of the Spanish team, he has always been loved, especially because he was considered as one of the heroes in the astonishing La Liga title won by Atletico Madrid in 2014.

Consequently, since he has been out, that hole has never been filled, until now. Indeed, he is the biggest hope for Simeone.
