German wonder kid Julian Draxler has confirmed his desire to leave Bundesliga side VfL Wolfsburg after being criticised by his own fans during the last game. The playmaker is furious that supporters booed him after poor performance. The young player wanted to leave the German outfit in the summer transfer window, but his move to Premier League club Arsenal failed to materialise. Draxler confirmed his dreams to join stronger team and those comments appear to have made him an enemy for his own fans. They expressed their anger by booing the 23-year old during the last game.

Draxler understands fans

“I think there is no need to tell anyone what being booed does to a footballer – it’s doesn’t help you to do your best on the pitch. I can understand the fans and I know the reason of their criticism. They have every right to do that. I expressed my feelings during the summer and I still stand by that.” – Julian Draxler said.

Arsenal and French side Paris Saint-Germain have been strongly linked with a move for a talented offensive midfielder, but according to Wolfsburg’s sporting director Klaus Allofs he will not be leaving the club in January transfer window. Draxler almost left he club in the summer transfer window before being convinced to remain in Wolfsburg and Allofs has expressed their intention to keep him for the whole next campaign.

The German is going nowhere

“If you think we are going to sell Draxler in the January you are completely wrong. We are not planning to sell any of our players. Julian wants to do everything he can to be successful in Wolfsburg. There is no real reasons to think that he will be leaving during January transfer window. I am sure he will not repeat his comments from last summer.” – Allofs said.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is a huge fan of Julian Draxler's talent, but his current squad is completed with players like Granit Xhaka, Santi Cazorla, Francis Coquelin, Aaron Ramsey and Mohamed Elneny playing on the same position as the young German. Will the Gunners bring another central midfielder to their squad? We will find out soon.
