The Christmas themed midseason finale left fans confused with their big 'Black Hood' reveal.

The writers created a character in season two, a Zodiac-lite figure known as the Black Hood who terrorises "sinners" within the small town of Riverdale.

At the start of the season, Archie's father was shot by the black hood which left him with a vivid memory of the Black Hoods bright green eyes.

The image has popped up repeatedly over the season and Archie believed that he’d know the Black Hood simply by looking into his eyes.

In the finale, Archies dad, Fred receives his medical bill's from his treatment after the Black Hoods violent attack.

The total is $86,000, and the family is understandably shocked. Over the Christmas period, Archie and his dad are selling Christmas trees, but I'm not sure this will cover the bills!

Spoilers coming up, you have been warned!

The un-hooding is featured after Archie and Betty dig deeper into finding out the Black Hoods possible motives.

The end up on the wrong side of his gun while police sirens echo around Riverdale.

The hooded killer gets distracted, giving Betty a chance to hit him over the head with a shovel before making a run for it.

Before the killer is unmasked, Sheriff Keller shoots him dead. And who's behind the mask? Mr Svenson the janitor at the school.

Fans feel like this scene is unrealistic as Archie would see him around school all the time and his eyes aren't even green.

Now looking back through footage, could it be an image warped by trauma?

Is that why the image is inaccurate with the Black Hood's eyes? We're all confused!
