It’s one thing that US President Donald Trump abused his power and fired FBI Director James Comey for investigating his ties to Russia, which is technically obstruction of justice and might just get him impeached, but now the President’s friend Christopher Ruddy says he’s thinking of firing Robert Mueller, too.
Mueller is leading the investigation against Trump
Mueller is the special counsel within the FBI who’s been brought in to head the investigation into Trump and the Russian connection. And, again, if Trump fired him, that would be a selfish act of obstruction of justice, and again, it would be grounds for impeachment.
When will he learn? Well, not until after he’s impeached, it seems. It’s almost like he’s doing it on purpose at this point, as if he’s fed up of being President now and he wants out.
Ruddy said that, from what he can tell, firing Mueller is “a consideration the President has had because Mueller is illegitimate as special counsel.” Ruddy is definitely on Trump’s side, reminding viewers on CNN that “there is no evidence of wrongdoing, there’s no evidence of collusion, there’s no evidence of obstruction.” Yes, Ruddy, we’ve heard it all before from your powerful orange friend.
