On a blog post, developers Telltale Games announced that season two of "The Wolf Among Us" is now coming in 2019. This is the follow-up to the hugely successful and well regarded first season released in 2013.

'The Wolf Among Us: Season Two'

"The Wolf Among Us" is based on the "Fables" comic book series from DC Vertigo. The game was originally meant to release in the second half of 2018 but has now been delayed to 2019. Telltale Games have stated that the reason for this is to allow them extra time to focus on quality and make sure that they craft something “truly special.”

The original ‘The Wolf Among Us’ game followed Digby as he tried to solve a murder and it allowed players to choose how he interacted with the various other characters in the game.

The dialogue and story are elements that Telltale Games are famous for and they will likely make a return in season 2.

Other releases by Telltale Games

Telltale Games have also created other well received and critically acclaimed games including "The Walking Dead" which has three seasons released and a fourth and final one coming later this year. While there are technically three released seasons, there has also been "400 Days" and "Michonne," both of which explore characters and elements outside of the main seasons. Season 3 doesn’t have a set release date yet, but it is due for release later this year.

Telltale Games also developed "Batman: The Telltale Series" and "Batman: The Enemy Within." All of their games are released in episodes that are gradually distributed after release.

While most games operate on a monthly release schedule others didn’t. "Tales from the Borderlands," for example, released each of its five episodes quarterly. At the moment, we don’t know what release structure "The Wolf Among Us: Season Two" will use but the first game used a bi-monthly schedule.

As well as the final season of "The Walking Dead" and the second season of "The Wolf Among Us," Telltale Games also have "Game of Thrones: Season Two" currently in development.

There is no set release date for that yet, however.

Telltale Games was founded back in 2004 and has developed many games since that time. They are notable for creating games with a license tie-in with games for the "Jurassic Park" and "Back to the Future’" carving the way to their success. They use their own bespoke game engine to create all of their games and it has gradually been improved and tweaked throughout the years.

"The Wolf Among Us: Season Two" might have been delayed until 2019, but that should mean that the finished product is at its best.
