After months of preparation, the day has come for the WWE and its superstar to showcase and dazzle the crowd with their talent and showmanship. As advertised, the show is called The Greatest Royal Rumble. Yes, they tagged it as the “greatest” due to a variety of reasons. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has one of the biggest fan bases in WWE. With that said, WWE didn’t waste any time making the decision to visit the kingdom.
WWE Cruiserweight Champion: Cedric Alexander vs Kalisto
The 205 live made their presence felt as they show some acrobatic and aerial moves that stunned the jam-packed arena in Saudi Arabia.
The defending champion Cedric Alexander is indeed the king of 205. The match started at a fast pace with many counters from each superstar. Kallisto, who is probably the agilest superstar in WWE tried to use his speed against Alexander. It works for a couple of moves, but The Champ was able to make some adjustments.
Kallisto continued to attack Cedric with a variety of moves that the Saudi Arabia crowd was delighted to see. This was until he made a mistake when trying to do his finisher called “Salida del Sol” which Alexander countered to a “Lumbar Check”. Alexander successfully retained his title.
New WWE Raw Tag Team Champions crowned
Okay, so this might sound a little weird, but Braun Strowman just vacated the WWE Raw Tag Team Championship.
He won the titles back in Wrestlemania with a “kid” as his partner. It was ruled out just weeks ago that since he doesn’t have a partner now, he needs to vacate the championship. With that said, The Bar, who were the previous champions were challenged by the unlikely partnership between Bray Wyatt and Matt Hardy.
The Bar’s chemistry is second to none which made them multiple champions in the tag team division.
As for Bray Wyatt and Matt Hardy, they are still trying to check each other out. However, this strange and unpredictable duo did the impossible as they’ve defeated The Bar in a convincing fashion.
Triple H vs John Cena
No titles or championship on the line, but this is all about respect and pride. These two superstars already have Hall of Fame careers which means that they don’t really need to fight against each other.
However, we are talking about “The King of Kings” and “Cenation Leader” which are easy in the top 10 greatest wrestlers of all time in WWE. Mostly part of the match it is about mind games, artistry and showmanship. Triple H looks to end the match early with some impact blows as Cena is desperately surviving in the ring. This is not the first time that these two superstars have met. Both made a significant adjustment on their game, but Cena has Triple H’s number this time. Out of nowhere, Cena was able to perform the “Attitude Adjustment” to Triple H leading him to victory.
