Movie mogul Harvey Weinstein has been accused of sexual misconduct and assault by dozens of actress, including Rose McGowan, Lupita Nyong’o, Asia Argento, Angelina Jolie, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Cara Delevingne. Uma Thurman, the star of many Weinstein productions, including “Pulp Fiction” and the “Kill Bill” movies, had not given a full response to the scandal, saying only that she was “angry” and would not respond fully until she was less so, because when she has “spoken in anger” in the past, she has later come to “regret” it.

But now, Thurman has responded with an Instagram post including the hashtag “#MeToo.” This has led to many fans writing back to her with supportive statements, and she has since thanked them for their kind words.

‘You left me speechless’

Thurman posted on Instagram that she had spent “hours” attempting to come up with “the right words” to express how grateful she is to her fans for “every single one of [their] warm and supportive reactions.” The actress said that she was “left...speechless” by the kind words she received in response to her condemnation of Weinstein and she said that this fact “tells its own story.” She added that in some cases, “words aren’t needed,” and concluded by saying, “THANKS is all I can say.”
