Indian Television is s strange land, there are friendships that are formed on sets and broken on sets while there are rivalries that take down not just ratings but also careers. The latest rumor painting the town red is that Hina Khan’s sudden exit from Star Plus’s flagship show “Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai” has something to do with Shivangi Joshi who recently entered the show as Naira, Akshara’s daughter. The rumor is interesting since the stories about Hina Khan’s exit from the show began surfacing only after the leap on the show which brought on board a younger lot of characters which included Naira’s character essayed by Shivangi Joshi.
Hina Khan will be missed for sure
Online reports claim that though they play a loving mother-daughter on screen, the two ladies never really saw eye to eye on sets. Some rumors even claim that they even had arguments based on the story line and the way things were focusing more on the younger generation than Naitik and Askshara’s life which was a focus of the show for 7 long years. It was during these stories floating around that Hina Khan was hit by Dengue and she took a leave from shooting for a few days. Her absence had the makers in a fix who had no other option but to shift their focus from Akshara to Naira for the meanwhile. And in this series of unfortunate events, Naira and Kartik track which was brought into focus majorly due to Hina Khan’s absence citing health reasons gathered a lot of love from the viewers.
A few reports also suggest that the arguments went so serious at times that the shoots were halted and the rest of the cast who wasn’t involved in the cat fight were affected unnecessarily.

Shivangi Joshi has clarified through many online reports that there is no truth in this fictional made up tiff between her and Hina Khan time and again and that she was not the reason behind her exit.
Guess we will never know the truth until Hina Khan herself decides to open up about it. For now “Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai” makers have roped in Parul Chauhan of “Bidaai” fame who will not replace Hina Khan as Akshara but will essay Karthik’s step mom Mrs. Goenka’s character. For now all we can hope is that “Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai” fans have the strength to keep loving the show as they did even without their favorite Akshara whom they have loved and adored for more than 7 long years now.
