“Brahmarakshas” started its supernatural journey on Zee TV just a few months back and was touted to be the channel’s best offering till date in the supernatural arena. While the show picked up quite well initially due to positive word of mouth, the rating chart seems to have been showing a dipping picture lately. The show was seen as the channel's answer to Colors TV's most loved show "Naagin" and a way to explore the super natural genre. Produced by Ekta Kapoor under Balaji Telefilms “Brahmarakshas- Jaag Utha Shaitaan” is said to be a mix of old Bollywood movie "Jaani Dushman" and the Hollywood classic "Beauty and the Beast"
'Brahmarakshas' to be pulled off air in February 2017?
Now online reports suggest that the curtains may be pulled down finally for “Brahmarakshas” very soon.
On the other hand reports of the fact that the show was a finite series right from its very inception is also doing rounds. Whatever may be the reason, the fact is that “Brahmarakshas” will most probably be concluded very soon. Few online reports have suggested that it will go on till February 2017 while there is no confirmation on the same. Recently the cast of the show saw a major change which is now seen as an attempt to push up falling ratings. Kishwer Merchantt replaced the main character of the show who essayed the character of Brahmarakshas. Though she did justice to her character, the audience did not take the change so well and the original actor Parag Tyagi had to be brought back.
Mohini enters the current plot to spice up things
The upcoming episodes will also see a new entry on the show with the introduction of a new character named “Mohini” which will be essayed by Indian television’s well-known actress Rakshanda Khan. She will be shown as the main villain in the show, more cruel and more manipulative than even the Brahmarakshas himself.
Mohini will be seen kidnapping the Bramharakshas and selling him off to scientists who will try to clone him and spread his terror across global at a massive scale. “Brahmarakshas” airs on Zee TV Saturday and Sunday 9 pm IST.
