Bollywood star Priyanka Chopra is totally engrossed in preparing for her role in an upcoming American Television show. For the lead role in ABC drama Quantico, Priyanka has done her homework to get into the skin of the character named Alex Parrish, half Indian and half Caucasian FBI trainee at Quantico base in Virginia.

Celebrating her association with ABC at a grand bash held in New York, earlier this week, Priyanka revealed that she has been enjoying shooting for the show. Priyanka had recently released two music albums titled 'In My City' and 'Exotic', which had brought her to the limelight.

Her role in Quantico will further elevate her popularity. She talked about the show and her character at an event organised to unveil ABC's new programming to advertisers.

ABC had sent an offer to Priyanka last year, with a list of shows in which the channel had sought her to make an appearance. Priyanka confirmed that she picked Quantico instantly as it was the best of the lot and had an amazing script.

Former Miss World, Priyanka, 32, has worked in number of films and is known for her glamour and acting talent. Priyanka will sport a casual look in the show, in sync with her role of a tough FBI agent. A still from the show posted on Twitter sent frenzy among her fans, who are anxiously waiting to see Priyanka in the upcoming season of Quantico.

The show is scheduled to be aired in the autumn. A trailer of the show has grabbed the attention of her fans who cannot wait to see the show.

Excited to be a part of Quantico, Priyanka revealed that she watches American TV in between the shooting breaks while doing her hair and makeup. Having studied in a school in Boston, Priyanka has been a fan of American shows and films since childhood.

Getting into the shoes of an FBI trainee in Quantico was like coming a full circle for Priyanka, as she started off as an Interpol officer earlier in Don 2, opposite Shah Rukh Khan. She took to Twitter to talk about the last minute preparation and nervousness about the shooting for the American show. On her Twitter, she equated the role in Quantico to "Roma from Don." Priyanka got to face the camera after sufficient days of rehearsals, look tests, and lessons in Amerian diction. The pilot was shot in March in Atlanta. She will soon be seen in films such as Dil Dhadakne Do and Bajirao Mastani.
