Well Emran Hashmi is known as the King of Hit Music in Bollywood especially when it comes to his association with the director Kunal Deshmukh with whom he has worked on 3 movies previously, namely "Jannat", "Tum Mile" and "Jannat 2"; all of which were musical marvels. So it's natural to expect a similar phenomenon to reoccur.

The song on air currently, which is called "Tere Hokey rahenge" is sung by Arjit Singh (The latest soulful singing sensation of Bollywood) while the lyrics are penned down by the most talent Irshad Kamil. The male version has techno effect to it accompanied with a mesmerizing piano piece, scattered with electric guitar riffs and thus it nice to hear on a long drive or when you are missing someone special.

The song stars Emran Hashmi and Humaima Malick

The other song in the album is "Kabhi Ruhani Kabhi Rumani"is a track by Benny Dayal with amazing lyrics. Somehow the voice and the tone of the singer doesn't quite go along with the song very well, there is something really missing. While the music is not catchy, the lyrics are soulful and a poor diction at few points ruins it completely.

"Dukki Tikki" another song in the album which when you hear will give you a feel of South Indian music style, which is not bad but it just does not fit the character Emran Hashmi is playing because he doesn't look South Indian and neither does it look that he is in a South Indian vicinity. Lyrics of this one are ignorable and the tune is again not catchy, you forget what you hear.

Some portions of the song also reminds one of "Gandi Baat" song from the movie "R. Rajkumaar". Sadly even this song fails to register itself as a melody.

All in all the music out by now is average and not up to the musical expectations which an Emran Hashmi's movie garners even before the movie releases. Emran Hashmi's movies are known for their chart-bursting music, and thus this movie was laden with high expectations as far as its music is concerned.

Apart from "Tere Hokey Rahenge", none of the songs seem impressive. The movie hits the screen on 29th August 2014 when the story will unfold and we will know if Emran Hashmi passes the Box Office test.
