As fans of the show already know, Lucifer is a devilishly handsome former angel. He used to be God's favourite, until he was banished to Hell. The poor former angel became bored and decided to take a holiday in Los Angeles, California, USA, where all sorts of adventures awaited him.
Before the fourth season of "Lucifer" begins, the following will catch readers up on the series prior to the Netflix streaming date of 8 May 2019.
Lucifer reminds us who he is
This handsome and dapper looking gent is no angel. This is Lucifer, former right-hand to God turned into the Devil.
Lucifer falls from grace
Lucifer explains that he was God's favourite angels, until he fell from grace down into sulfurous hell. "Those were the days," he says. According to Lucifer he had "basically invented daddy issues" and had waged a war, leading to his banishment.
'Vacay' in Los Angeles
In the catch-up video posted last, Lucifer explains that he got a little bored with Hell. He decided to take a holiday in Los Angeles, USA. Lucifer confirms that Los Angeles is definitely not a city of angels, and was just what he was looking for.
Lucifer and Los Angeles
Lucifer basically bought himself a bar and had fun with his demon friend Maze. This upset his brother Amenadiel, which he admits was most of the fun. However, something unexpected happened. He got mixed up in a homicide.
Lucifer helps the LAPD
He went on to help the Los Angeles Police Department to solve the homicide case, with Detective Chloe Decker. Lucifer told Chloe he was the devil, but she didn't believe him.
Chloe and Lucifer
Lucifer admitted there is something special about the detective, as she was "completely immune" to his devilish charm.
No way to seduce Chloe
Chloe told Lucifer in no uncertain terms that she would never, ever, sleep with him. Lucifer believed she was "playing hard to get." She said only if Hell freezes over, which he said he could actually arrange.
Therapy for Lucifer
In true LA fashion, Lucifer saw a therapist, Dr. Linda, and met her "douche of an ex-husband, Dan" and a lovely forensic scientist and continued to help the LAPD. His friend Maze became a bounty hunter.
Amenadiel lost his wings and got them back
While all this was happening, Amenadiel, who was trying to get Lucifer to go home to Hell, lost his wings, but eventually got them back and flew a good friend of their's up to Heaven.
Fans wonder if Chloe is now in love with Lucifer
Lucifer tells us that we probably believe Chloe has fallen head over wings for his devilish charms and believes she nearly did, until suddenly Chloe saw his true face, which, let's face it, ain't pretty at all.
Chloe finally sees the truth
This moment proved to Chloe that Lucifer is, indeed, the devil. Naturally she was shocked.
