Netflix is always coming up with Netflix Original series and films. However, they also add cinematic greats from years gone by on a regular basis.

The following films are highly rated by critics with some winning multiple awards and are heading to Netflix on 1 January 2019.

The first is a Film starring Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett as a couple travelling to Morocco and the chain of events that comes from an incident during their stay. There's a moving and beautiful fantasy film, described as an adult fairy tale and a cult classic movie starring John Travolta, Bruce Willis, and Uma Thurman. There is also a thrilling drama involving Bruce Willis and set in Nigeria and the moving story of a German boy who makes friends with a Jewish boy in a concentration camp in Germany.

'Babel' (2006) - Brad Pitt, Cate Blanchett, Gael García Bernal

This Paramount movie tells the story of an American couple (Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett) travelling in Morocco. A tragic incident involving the couple starts a chain of interlinking events that affect four families in four different countries throughout the world. There are two young Moroccan goatherds, a deaf Japanese teenager and her father, and a Mexican nanny who gets into trouble for taking the children over the border for her son’s wedding without permission.

'Pan's Labyrinth' (2006) - Ivana Baquero, Sergi Lopez, Maribel Verdu

Set during the Spanish civil war, this moving and beautiful film has been described as a fairy tale for adults. The film features Ofelia, who moves in with her stepfather, a brutal and authoritarian military officer. Ofelia finds a mysterious labyrinth in which she meets a faun who helps her to save herself and her unwell mother. The young girl ends up in the middle of a ferocious battle between good and evil.
