On Monday the Spice Girls shocked fans everywhere with the announcement of a new UK tour. However, it did not take long for fans to notice that Victoria Beckham, known a Posh Spice, was missing and rumours began to speculate over if she would be on the tour or not. Victoria's absence has been confirmed by the press for the band, the BBC wrote "Victoria, who runs a multi-million-pound fashion label, would not join the girls on tour due to 'business commitments'"

In the video Ginger, Sporty, Scary and Baby Spice did a mock press conference to announce their new tour and the six dates and locations that will take place in June 2019.

Hilariously Ginger Spice showed up in a blue sparkly dress while her fellow band mates all wore black suits, However, Sporty Spice soon followed suit and changed into a black tracksuit instead. Just in case that was not enough, the quartet also broke into song, with an acapella version of their 90's hit "Spice up your life."

Girl power

Many fans of the band were children and teenagers when the girl band that stood for 'Girl power', were at their peak, are now adults and excited to be able to relieve a part of their childhood. But none are as excited as singer Adele who posted a hilarious photo to her Instagram page to show her excitement, with the caption "HA! This is how I feel right now! I AM READY ✌."

Although Posh Spice is not confirmed on the tour, the BBC quoted Scary Spice in her interview on "Loose Women" where she told the panel "It's just the four of us that are fully confirmed, but Vic might join us at some point," leaving fans wondering if the fifth Spice Girl may make an appearance on one of the tour dates.

Victoria Beckham has also released a statement, the BBC quoted her as saying "Being in the Spice Girls was a hugely important part of my life and I wish my girls so much love and fun as they go back on tour," the former Spice Girl went on to say "I know they will put on an amazing show and the fantastic fans past and present are going to have a wonderful time!"

What we know

Jess Glynne has also been confirmed as being a part of the Spice Girls UK tour, at the end of their announcement video the singer is confirmed as a "very special guest." Glynne seems to be following in the "Girl Power" footsteps of the Spice Girls as she has become the first female solo artist with seven number one singles in the UK.

Tickets for the tour will go on sale on Saturday, November 10 at 10:30 am, though prices have not been confirmed the tickets will be available for purchase on the "Live Nation" website. As of now, the Spice Girls have only released fifteen dates, but whether or not more will be released has not yet been confirmed.
