The Palestinian-ISRAELI CONFLICT peace process has taken another blow this week as Israel authorise 1,100 new settlements in occupied West Bank. Egypt formally denounced Trump’s decision to recognise Jerusalem as Israel’s capital but an actress, presenter, spy and MP have been covertly tapped up to push Trump’s agenda. American vice-president, Mike Pence, plans to visit Egypt and Jordan in a bid to patch up relations after the Jerusalem deceleration.

Jerry Seinfeld has also been heavily criticised this week after he and his family visited an Israeli ‘counter terror’ camp.

Human rights activists accused him of supporting the apartheid regime, he also made jokes about bombing and had pictures taken with guns.

Moves to further Israel’s goal

The Israeli Defence Minister, Avigdor Lieberman, approved the building of 1,100 new settlements in West Bank. This plan is a clear indication that they intend to annexe further land from the Palestinians, furthermore, Education Minister, Naftali Bennett, has called for revenge after a rabbi was killed. But with children and adults being killed every day by the Israeli Defence Force, this sounds like an excuse to persecute them further. The new settlements are illegal under international law and are the biggest obstacle for the peace process, which means that Israel have declared their intentions with the building of more, despite only 400,000 Israeli settlers living amongst 2.6 million Palestinians, it is the clear intention to annex more land force Palestinians from their homes.

Israeli aircraft attacked a target in the southern Gaza Strip on Saturday, the army said, and closed off goods crossing between the Palestinian enclave and Israel. Israel "targeted a terror infrastructure using fighter jets in the southern Rafah region, adjacent to the Egypt-Gaza Strip border," an army statement said. However, this is a clear attempt to cut off supplies for the Palestinian enclave to further their bid of the eradication of Palestine.

When Donald Trump declared Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, Egypt publicly announced that they condemned the decision. However, evidence has come to light that they have been covertly operating to convince the population that it is a good thing for the country and support the declaration. Using an actress, presenter, ex-spy and MP as tools in this endeavour.
