In a startling claim made to mainstream newspapers Texan resident Horacio Villegas, the self-proclaimed 'messenger of God', has predicted that World War Iii will break out very soon.

Villegas' claims

The mystic's main claim to fame is that he predicted Donald Trump would win the US presidential election as far back as 2015. In a statement made to UK newspapers, he claims to have correctly predicted that Trump would attack Syria and that chillingly World War III will begin in a matter of weeks, on May 13th.

The significance of the date is the 100th anniversary of the visitation of Our Lady of Fatima.

It is claimed that The Virgin Mary visited Fatima in Portugal on six different occasions. The last of these occasions was 100 years ago on October 13th, 1917 when she predicted the end of World War I. The war ended the next year.

Villegas told The Daily Star that people need to know to be prepared between the dates of May 13th to October 13th, 2017 and the war will be over " with much devastation, shock and death. "

The Texan resident believes that the catalyst for the start of hostilities will be the death of Syrian leader Bashar al-Assad who has dragged his country through a horrific civil war for years.

Trump's actions so far

In his short tenure as US Commander in Chief Donald Trump has already sent multiple missiles into Syria following Assad's use of chemical weapons on his own citizens, detonated the largest non-nuclear bomb in history in Afghanistan and threatened North Korea.

His actions, whilst appearing to be decisive and direct, have actually isolated the US. There is little doubt that Putin now sees little hope of any meaningful negotiations taking place with the Trump administration and has decided to continue to back his Syrian ally Assad.

North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un has made it clear that he will retaliate with extreme force if his country is provoked by Trump.

As a result, Trump sent an Armada of US naval vessels into waters off the coast of North Korea.

What happens next?

From their current positions, it seems the world leaders are already facing off and preparing for an unimaginable scenario. Surely Trump for all his bluster and bravado cannot push the world into nuclear war? Surely common sense will prevail amongst the world leaders who will see that, if it takes place, it would be a war that cannot be won.

Despite his chilling predictions, Villegas is not the only mystic who has predicted the end of the world. Baba Vanga, a Bulgarian-born prophetess who had an 85% success rate in her 50-year career and foretold events such as the birth of ISIS, the 2004 Boxing Day Tsunami, 9/11 and many others, predicted that the world would end in 3797, so we can hopefully rest easy for a few years yet.
