With the series on the line, Sri Lanka will take on Bangladesh in the second ODI at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Sunday, July 28, 2019.

The hosts are leading the three-match series 1-0 after achieving a thumping win in the first match by 91 runs.

Another win on Sunday will secure Sri Lanka the ODI series. Hence its a do or die situation for Bangladesh.

Rajitha likely to take Malinga's place as SL eye series win

Kusal Perera was unable to take the field in the second innings of the first ODI. Although, it is unlikely that he will miss the second ODI as he seems fit. Other than that, Sri Lanka will have to make one force change.

Lasith Malinga retired from ODIs and has vacated one place in the XI.

Kasun Rajitha is likely to replace Malinga, even though Dasun Shanaka was named as his replacement in the 15-member squad. Rest of the side is expected to be same.

Bangladesh and stand-in captain Tamim Iqbal under the pump

Considering the squad Bangladesh has arrived in Sri Lanka, it looks fairly unlikely that they would make any changes to their XI even after their loss in the first match.

The pitch in Colombo was fairly good for batting during the first match. It is likely to stay the same for the second match — the team which bats first will have an advantage while chasing could be challenging. The weather could cause obstructions, but the forecast for the first match was also bad, but nothing really happened.
