Mitchell Starc replaces Stanlake

Australia might have just gotten away in Melbourne due to the heavy rain. Their batting performance was below average during the second game and coming to the final T20, the hosts will hope for an improved performance.

Mitchell Starc has been called back into the side as a replacement of Billy Stanlake, who injured himself during the practice just minutes before the toss at the MCG. Nathan Coulter-Nile had played as his substitute, but it will be interesting to see if Starc is given a spot in the XI for the Sydney T20.

India would consider themselves really unlucky that rain denied them what could have been a victory in the second T20I.

The side looks pretty settled, but surely there is some work which needs to be done as far as the fielding is concerned. The visitors could continue with the same combination that sort of worked for the 19 overs which were possible in that game at the MCG.

Pitch and weather

The SCG pitch is generally good for batting, but it may assist slow bowlers with its spongy bounce. The square boundaries at the SCG are smaller in comparison to MCG, so the taking on the spinners could be an option for the batsmen.

The weather in Sydney has been quite good with ample amount of sunshine going into the game. We might get the first complete 20 overs game in this series in Sydney.
