The Third and Final T20 match will be played on 25 November 2018, at the Sydney Cricket Ground. The T20 game will start at 1.20 pm IST. India will be trying to save the series, and Australia will have nothing to lose as they are 1-0 up in the three-match series. The second T20 match was abandoned due to rain.
The second T20 match ended in a very disappointing note as the rain stopped the play and the game had to be abandoned. The visitors were in top form with all their guns blazing. The Indians had the game in their control in the Second T20 match in Melbourne on Friday before the rain gods played the villain.
If the visitors win the third match, the series will end in a 1-1 draw.
Rain plays villain
India had fielded their same team which lost the first T20 match. The Indian skipper reposed his faith in Khaleel Ahmed, and his bowlers did not disappoint him. The home side was reduced to 102 for seven wickets at one stage. Khaleel has improved a lot and looked lethal in the second T20 match. He managed to pick two early wickets and rest of the damage was done by Jasprit Bumrah and Bhuvneshwar Kumar who were at their menacing best and shared three wickets conceding 40 runs only. Kuldeep Yadav also chipped in. It was refreshing to see Krunal Pandya who played much better than in the previous match in Brisbane.
Although the Kangaroos are one up in the game, the visitors are a much disciplined and well-balanced side. The top order batting lineup is one of the best in the world and is composed of Shikhar Dhawan, Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, and Virat Kohli. The middle order is also good with Dinesh Karthik and Rishabh Pant in top form and even Krunal Pandya chipping in with the bat.
