Australia seeks to redeem its pride
Australia is already attempting to salvage some pride after a horrible show in the two-Test series.
Australia has an inexperienced team, but they have never looked so vulnerable.
The T20I format could be the last chance for the Kangaroos to win some prestige. Looking at the history, Pakistan seems to be a much better performer and have defeated the Aussies on two occasions in three encounters in the Tri-series in Zimbabwe.

Aussies had earlier lost 1-0 in the two-Test series. They had managed to draw the first Test but failed horribly in the second Test. Pakistan is the Number One team in the shortest format of the game, and the whole team works like a well-oiled machine and the Kangaroos have to pull out some tricks from their hat to subdue the Pakistanis.

Pakistan all set to retain top T20I ranking
Pakistan is placed first in the MRF ICC T20I ranking, and it requires a win in one match to maintain this position. However, Australia has a slender chance of becoming the Number One T20 side and dethrones the Pakistanis.
It will have to make a whitewash and win all the three matches to obtain this glory.

Earlier the visitors had a one-off T20I match with hosts UAE which they won comfortably by losing just three wickets.
The total was a meagre 118. The visitors overcame the target in only 16.1 over.
The task was made easy by D’Arcy Short who made a quicksilver unbeaten 53-ball 68. UAE has not been able to shine like Afghanistan who has played quite remarkably in the concluded Asia Cup 2018. It will need someone like Rashid Khan in the UAE side if they are to be considered as a serious contender in the shortest format of the game.
