Arsenal are not in the title race. That’s a common opinion for most of the Premier League experts, but can you really say that just in the middle of the competition with The Gunners being currently at the third place with only eight points behind the leaders, their biggest rivals from the same city – Chelsea. The gap between red and blue teams is obvious, but Antonio’s Conte side has a really tough fixtures coming up in the February, so there is a big chance for the Gunners to close the difference. The opinion that Arsenal have no chance to claim the title this year is slightly unfair.

To start with, nobody expected that Antonio Conte and his players will continue to impress after losing 3-0 to the Gunners at the start of the season, but they changed their formation and go on thirteen game win streak to take the leading position in the Premier League race for the championship. This example shows, that every team can suddenly find a great form and win almost every game till the end of the season. Arsenal can do the same in the second half and they proved that they are capable of doing that in previous years.

Liverpool

If you look at the table, Liverpool and Tottenham are only one point above the Gunners. Both teams are said to be one of the contenders to win the title, so in terms of pure numbers, if The Reds and Spurs are title contenders, then Arsenal can win the competition as well.

It’s true that Arsene Wenger’s side had lost three games with Liverpool, Manchester City and Everton, but so have Klopp’s team – the Reds were beaten by Burnley and Bournemouth this season and they have also conceded much more goals than Arsenal’s defensive unit.

Tottenham

Tottenham are fire hot at the moment, winning everything they can, but if you look at the beginning of the season, they have won only one game out of nine, what shows that Pochettino’s is not quite as perfect as some people think they are. The Premier League is a marathon, you can’t give someone a championship trophy in the middle of the season and that’s why we all love sports – be prepared for unexpected!
