"Who will stop them?" This was the main question for every journalist and supporter of the Premier League championship. Everyone wondered who could ever stop the winning streak of Antonio Conte and his Chelsea: the Blues were unbeaten since October and they were showing an uncontested dominion in the championship. Tonight Dele Alli and Hotspurs decided to stop this ride: 2-0 at White Hart Lane. Yid supporters can explode!
Intense first half, then the turning point
The game creates a lot of tension, like in the typical London derby, and both teams are going through a golden run: .
the hosts have an open run of four straight wins, the Blues don't lose even since October, so the battle can begin! The teams are immediately aggressive and intense, but the first chance is for Chelsea after 5 minutes: a long ball over the Tottenham defence sees Eden Hazard through on goal but he scuffs wide across the target with a low effort. Conte's team suffers the Tottenham's tempo of the game, with the players passing the ball around patiently waiting the best chance for scoring: so, Wanyama and Eriksen both fire just wide across goal from the edge of the box after 24 minutes. A challenge between Rose and Moses gives some scary moments to the fans of both team but after two minutes, both restart to run; neither team is able to prevail, despite the inflaming physicality, and everybody are thinking that the time could finish without any score.
But when the time is close to end, Tottenham turns the game: Eriksen serves an excellent cross for Dele Alli and the head shot of the midfielder beats Courtois. 1-0 and yellow card for over celebrating with some fans.
Alli again, Hotspurs breaks the Chelsea's record
The second halftime begins with a new combative Chelsea, maybe shaken from Conte during the break: Alonso creates two great chances but Pedro and Hazard don't take advantage of his crosses.
After 54 minutes, Spurs double scoring in the same way of the first goal: Eriksen crosses, Alli hit the ball with the head shot and Courtois is beaten again. After the second score, Tottenham resumes with a fluid possession of the ball, with Chelsea suffering and unable to react: despite the replacements taken by Conte, the Spurs keep the control and at the end White Hart Lane reserves a deserved standing ovation for Alli, hero of the game.
