Jose Mourinho has had a mixed start to life at Manchester United since taking over as manager from Louis Van Gaal this summer. The self-proclaimed 'Special One' was followed by an array of stars when he moved to Old Trafford, including Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Eric Bailly and world record signing Paul Pogba. Despite being seen as potential title challengers after a promising start, a host of draws and lack of adventure going forward has cost Utd, who now sit in sixth position in the Premier League table. Despite being 13 points off the pace with leaders Chelsea, Utd are still only four points behind a Champions League place and with money at his disposal, there is no doubt Mourinho and the Man Utd board will be looking to spend big during the winter transfer window.

Lets take a look at who will be on Mourinho's wish list this Christmas:

Antoine Griezmann

The French international, who currently plays for Atletico Madrid finished third only behind Messi and Ronaldo for the Ballon d'Or this year and has been heavily linked since the summer with a move to Old Trafford. The 25-year old striker helped guide both his club and country to both the Champions League and Euro 2016 final this year and is one of the most wanted strikers in world football at the moment. The Sun has also reported that Utd have hired a top French football agent to make the move happen and that Griezmann is Mourinho's main target. Griezmann is likely to cost Mourinho over £60 million.

Victor Lindelof

The most likely of deals to go through in January for Mourinho. Lindelof is a Swedish international who currently plays for Benfica in Portugal. The centre-back looks set to make a £38 million move to Manchester to strengthen up the Utd backline after injuries to Eric Bailly and poor performances from Chris Smalling have led to Mourinho being forced to play Phil Jones and the heavily criticised Marcos Rojo in the two centre-back slots.

James Rodriguez

Mourinho is known to be a big fan of the Colombian who currently plays for Real Madrid. Rodriguez has been struggling for game-time under Zinedine Zidane at the Bernabeu this season, and Mourinho will be looking to add creativity to a side who have failed to provide much for target man Ibrahimovic this season.

Rodriguez has been linked with several other Premier League clubs, but given his past relationship with Mourinho may just fancy a move to Old Trafford should Madrid let him go.

Nelson Semedo

Another Benfica defender linked with a move to Old Trafford. Nelson is a right-back who has been described by team-mates as an "extraordinary player" and one Mourinho believes can be one for the future. Although the Daily Star reports that Manchester United are currently in talks with the 23-year-old about a January switch, German giants Bayern Munich have also been linked with making a move for the defender.
