Love Island is due to return to our television screens tonight at 9pm on ITV2.

We're ready: in fact, we've been ready since it finished last year when Amber Davies and Kem Cetinay (a partnership, sadly no longer) split the 50K prize money in an explosive finale.

Last season of Love Island had it all - Kem and Chris' bromance, a Blazin Squad member, bed-hopping, a fake baby called Cash Hughes (really) and who could forget the heart-breaking episode that Jonny screws over sweet Camilla by kissing Tyla? Pulling in 2.5 MILLION viewers, can the new series beat the excitement of last year?

What do we know about the new series of Love Island so far?

Caroline Flack returns as host (could it ever be the same without her?), with voice-artist Iain Stirling joining her as narrating support.

The show will air over eight weeks - making it the longest season ever - and judging by previous iterations, we can expect a few surprises along the way. Just one of the rumours includes a 2017 Islander's return.

With only 11 chosen to be dropped off at the villa on the Spanish island of Menorca from over 80,000 applications, Flack shared that this is the "hottest line up she's ever seen".

What do you think? Anyone '100 per cent your type on paper'?

The format will be staying the same, although there are a few changes - including the banning of smoking due to a slew of complaints last year which suggested that the contestants glamourised lighting up.

Love Island truly took over our screens last year, so say goodbye to your social life - here's looking forward to a brand new explosive season!
