Ed Sheeran 'Shape Of You'

One of the lead singles from Ed Sheeran's new and upcoming third studio album is his number one hit single 'Shape Of You', which is very different to his usual softer sound.

The single has proved very popular all around the world, peaking at number one in Australia, Austria, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany and many other countries, which is truly phenomenal.

But this is not the first time the singer-songwriter has smashed charts worldwide. He has also broken charts with his 2014 single 'Thinking Out Loud' which also peaked at number one around the world.

The singer has made more than one rendition of the track, more recently with Croydon rapper Stormzy, who he surprisingly performed with at The Brit Awards.

After the spectacular performance, many fans of the great Ed Sheeran rushed to Twitter, posting about how amazing and unexpected the collaboration with Stormzy was. Stormzy's cousin, Nadia Rose even took to the social networking site to congratulate him and to tell him how proud she was of him.

Ed Sheeran 'Castle On The Hill'

Another hit single of Ed's which reached number two in the UK charts, just behind 'Shape of you', was the beautifully written 'Castle On The Hill'.

Within the song, he tells the story of when he was younger and how he turned from a young innocent child into a dependent teenager.

This song in particular is one of my favourites from Ed Sheeran's, along with some of his other popular songs. The song sold nearly 200,000 copies in the first week of its release.

'Castle On The Hill' was directed by George Belfied and produced by Tom Gardner. Within the video, a group of friends take a road trip down to the hill and to a Castle, hence the name of the song, reminiscing Ed's own youth back in the day.

Speaking on The Graham Norton Show, he revealed how the person playing himself went to the same high school as him which is coincidental. Since its release, it has received well over 50 million views on video sharing site YouTube.
