May is the cruelest month. With the Upfronts, all the networks have decidedwhich show can survive and which Show must be cancelled. Here, there is a list of all the TV shows that sadly are not returning next season. This year, there are lots of them.

ABC

The Disney network had various shows on balance. The most prominent was Castle. Castle’s eight season has been received with mixed reactions by the fandom, and after the news that Stana Katic won’t be part of a possible season 9, fans were really angry. At the end, the show got axed. No more Castle’s Mondays.

Nashville had the same faith: after a lackluster season, the country-music based show with Connie Briton ends with the fourth season’s finale serving as Series finale. The Muppets, Agent Carter, Galavant and The family shared the same faith.

CBS

CBS surprisingly moved Supergirl to the CW (even if it was a quite great performer). Code Black and Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders are renewed, but Limitless doesn’t share the same fate. The network wants to shop it elsewhere, but it won’t have a slot in the upcoming season. Limitless didn’t shine rating-wise, but it was a modest performer. Its cancellation comes as a surprise for die-hard fans. CSI: Cyber and Rush Hour were cancelled as well. The critical-beloved The Good Wife ended its seven-seasons’ run a few weeks ago.

FOX

Fox decided not to go forward with its critical darlings comedies: The Grinder and Grandfathered were both cancelled. Despite its lackluster performances, both shows were loved by critics. Cooper Barrett, Bordertown and Second Chance were cancelled, as well.

The CW

The CW didn’t cancel almost anything. Just Beauty and the Beast ( a show that was unexpectedly renewed three times) and Containment won’t be part of 2016/2017’s line-up.

Containment has delivered modest, but positives outings after the top-performer The Flash. The networkdoesn’t seem to have faith in this product.

NBC

NBC is pitiless. They cancelled lots of new shows and veterans. After two seasons, The Mystery of Laura 3 won’t see the light. Heartbeat, Crowded, Undateable, Game of Silence and Eva Longoria’s Telenovela will not return for a second season.

So many cancellations stroke fans all over the world. Live ratings are delivering less and lesser proper results. The audience has incredibly decreased from a decade ago. Networks should be opener to new technologies and to streaming service: the Era of the old- TV’s golden Age is over. The Internet has taken over.
