Shah Rukh Khan is possibly the first Bollywood actor to shoot at Madame Tussauds Wax Museum in London. For his upcoming Film Fan, directed by Maneesh Sharma, Shah Rukh Khan, shot for a few scenes at Madame Tussauds during the recently concluded Easter weekend.

The film, which supposedly explores the relationship between a celebrity and a fan, will have some portion shot in the legendary museum, which has prominently placed the wax statue of Shah Rukh Khan in its Bollywood section. The significance of the museum is aptly incorporated in the plot of the film.

Yash Raj Films Studios, the producer of Fan, had painstakingly acquired the permission to shoot the film, last week. Shah Rukh Khan, who is widely followed by his fans on Twitter, wrote about the interesting shooting schedule inside the museum on his Twitter handle.

"Thanx Madame Tussauds. Allowing us 2 shoot Fan with all 'ur' stars & our star Maneesh. Very gracious of u (sic). 1st film to shot at ur premises," tweeted Shah Rukh, post shooting at the museum. The actor will be seen in double role and will play the character of a superstar and also reprise the role of a star struck fan.

Madame Tussauds has been one of the biggest tourist attractions in London where millions of people from all over the world, throng to fulfill their fan boy moment and click pictures with the life sized statues of their favourite Celebrities.

The Bollywood section in London museum inhabits the statues of Aishwarya Rai, Amitabh Bachchan, Madhuri Dixit, Salman Khan, Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif who is the latest inclusion. Kaif was lately seen in films such as Jab Tak Hai Jaan, Dhoom 3 and Bang Bang.

After completing the portions in London, Shah Rukh was seen shooting rest of the sequences of Fan in a chawl in Mumbai.

Thousands of fans of Khan gathered near the chawls to catch a glimpse of the star, who was spotted in a checked shirt, denims and carrying a backpack.

Shah Rukh Khan admirers are eagerly awaiting the film which is slated for a release in August. While the makers have confirmed that the film would have two heroines, the names of the leading ladies have been kept tightly under wraps.
