Alabama Senator nominee Roy Moore has been swamped in claims of sexual misconduct by several women (some of whom were as young as 14 when the alleged harassment took place), and a few days ago, US President Donald Trump made it abundantly clear that he would not, under any circumstances, be going to Alabama to campaign for the paedophile.

And he’s kept his word. Trump is not going to Alabama to campaign for Roy Moore. Instead, he’s going to Pensacola, Florida, to campaign for Roy Moore. It’s a whole 25 miles from the border of Alabama. It’s closer to the state capital of Alabama than it is to the state capital of Florida.

So, the President of the United States is basically going to bat for a paedophile. Is there any surprise there, really? This is the guy who has time and time again told the world how sexually attracted he is to his own daughter, after all.

Moore allegedly sexually harassed girls between the ages of 14 and 19

According to the many allegations against Moore, he pursued sexual relationships with women when he was in his early 30s and they were between the ages of 14 and 19. A number of Republican officials, including Mitch McConnell, the Senate Majority Leader, believe the allegations made by the women and have condemned Moore. But not the President of the United States. That would be silly.
