It should come as no surprise that President Donald Trump has gone on Twitter to rant about something that’s riled him. Nor should it come as a surprise that he’s attacking his former rival, ex-Secretary of State and ex-Democratic Presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton. Nor should it come as a surprise that Russia is mixed up in it somehow. And so it goes...

Trump, who is himself caught up in an ongoing investigation into links between his unexpectedly successful campaign and the dubious government of Russia, is jealous of Hillary, who is currently facing no federal heat or scrutiny, so he’s decided to use his Presidential power to try to make that happened.

His tweets called upon the House Intelligence Committee to investigate her connections to Russia, as well as that of her husband, former President Bill Clinton.

Trump says the Clintons ‘allowed big Uranium to go to Russia’

Trump’s first tweet asked his followers a rhetorical question about why US intelligence agencies aren’t currently “looking into the Bill & Hillary deal that allowed big Uranium to go to Russia,” as well as (and for once, it wasn’t just hot air and Trump had an actual list to hand) “Russian speech,” then he spilled into his second tweet of the rant for the rest of the list, “money to Bill, the Hillary Russian “reset,” praise of Russia by Hillary,” and “Podesta Russian Company.”

The President then reiterated once again that the “Trump Russia story is a hoax,” before adding the hashtag “#MAGA!” Make America Great Again, that is.

It was Trump’s campaign slogan. The campaign boosted along by backdoor Russian influence and hacking, supposedly. And it’s not confirmed to be “a hoax” just yet, nor may it ever.

Trump’s tweets may be an attempt to distract intelligence

Grumpy Trumpy is probably using this Twitter rant as a means of distracting the House Intelligence Committee, who are currently investigating Russia’s involvement in Trump’s Presidential campaign.

This will understandably be frustrating him, wishing they were focusing on cases that didn’t involve him. Also, according to James Comey, Director of the FBI, the bureau is joining them in investigating the “Trump Russia story.”
