Almost two years ago, when business magnate and reality TV star Donald Trump announced that he was going to run for the Republican nomination in the next Presidential election, most of the general public assumed that a candidate with actual political experience would beat him to it, but they didn’t.
And when women came forward accusing Trump of sexual assault and videos were released of him making misogynistic remarks, it was assumed that it would definitely cost him the election, but it didn’t. And even after he was elected, there was still some doubt in people’s minds that this man would inhabit the White House, as there were votes recounted and documentarian Michael Moore expected “something crazy” to happen that would prevent his Presidency.
Presidency seemed unlikely, but it’s happening
But today, all of those theories and doubts are proving to be unfounded because at noon, Donald Trump is going to be sworn into the Oval Office as the 45th President of the United States.
Technically there’s still a couple of hours for something to happen between now and then, but it seems highly unlikely. A lot of people are banking on Trump being impeached, so we’ll have to just wait and see how his term goes...
