The enamel that covers the teeth is slightly porous, which causes it to be gradually filled with rubbish that makes it go dark. To get an idea of how quickly absorb what we eat, remember what happens to your teeth when you drink wine. It may not be a problem after brushing, however, some foods are able to stain your teeth deeper with time.
Dark drinks such as coffee, tea and soft drinks are on the list of products that stain teeth.
Cigarette smoking and poor oral hygiene also help to increase the porosity of the tooth's enamel; and certain foods contain acid. Meats, dairy, eggs, citrus fruits, sweets and refined sugar, beer, artificial sweeteners, soft drinks, fizzy drinks or vegetable oils worsen the situation. Check out the tips:
Orange peel
Wipe the inside of the orange peel (the white part) on the teeth for about 2 minutes. Do this 3 times a week before brushing them. The substances contained in orange peel assist in whitening.
Banana peel
Banana peel contains natural acids that can also whiten your teeth. As with the orange peel, rub the inside of a banana peel on the teeth for several minutes before brushing them.
Baking soda and strawberry
Once a week, clean your teeth with a tablespoon of baking soda and water. Or prepare a folder with strawberry and baking soda. Both act as natural bleaching agents. Just knead the fruit and mix with baking soda, then apply them in the teeth and let it act for 20 minutes before rinsing. Then wait 30 minutes and brush your teeth normally.
Sage
Rubbing fresh sage leaves in the dental arch also helps in whitening results. Another option: dry the sage leaves in the oven and make a powder to be mixed with toothpaste.
Turmeric
The Brazilian saffron, turmeric, can also be rubbed on the teeth fresh or prepared a folder of your powdered version.
But do not forget that along with these tips it is advisable to associate the mouthwash. It is not always necessary to pay a fortune to the dentist to achieve this goal, and with a few pointers and a little effort, you will have a brighter smile than before.
