WWE Universe can now rejoice as 2K decided to reveal the complete list of playable characters in WWE 2K19. All the Shield members, Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose are included. Same goes with the original Bullet Club members, Finn Balor, Luke Gallows, Karl Anderson and the cover of the game, The Phenomenal One, AJ Styles. However, it is still puzzling as to why 2K didn’t include a myriad of superstars.

Tommaso Ciampa not included in WWE 2K19

It is no secret the champion carries the brand or the show that he is representing.

2K just made the biggest mistake when they didn’t include the current NXT Champion, Tommaso Ciampa. The sadistic, but extremely talented champion remains the hottest draw in the NXT today.

Legions of fans are already pissed about 2K’s decision in omitting Ciampa. Hopefully, they will reconsider in adding Ciampa on the roster.

No green light for 205 Live

WWE 205 Live mainstay Buddy Murphy was also snubbed by 2K and we still don’t know the reason why. Murphy has been with the company for a couple of years and he has shown to the WWE Universe that he deserves his spot. For those who aren’t familiar, Buddy Murphy is Alexa Bliss’ boyfriend [VIDEO]. The couple has been together for at least three years and proved that their relationship has a strong foundation. Sadly, we won’t see Alexa Bliss beat up Buddy Murphy in WWE 2K19.

Another member of WWE 205 Live and WWE Veteran, Brian Kendrick didn’t get the nod which is certainly a surprise. Kendrick might not have the WWE Cruiserweight Champion around his waist, but he is the definition of what 205 Live is all about.

The former multiple Tag Team Champion and Cruiserweight Champion were included in last years package and probably the reason why he got cut because he hasn't been active that much the past couple of months.

WWE Hall of Famers not recognised

Multiple WWE Legends are also not expected to be part of this year's installation. Notable names such as Jeff Jarrett and Mankind were given the cold shoulder to provide the spotlight on two upcoming stars in the WWE. Apart from the new list of downloadable characters 2K released, they’ve also provided a snapshot of a “zombie-like” game mode or downloadable character [VIDEO]. As seen in the footage, Triple H was walking and his “skin” resembles what “zombies” look like in pop culture.

Release date

Regarding the release date of WWE 2K19, it is scheduled for October 5 this year. It will be available in multiple platforms such as PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Video game developer juggernaut’s, Yuke’s and Visual Concepts spearheaded the creation of the game while 2K Sports are the producers.
