Hindi movie “Soorma” hit the screens on July 13, 2018, across the world. The Film chronicles the trials and tribulation of international hockey player Sandeep Singh who was wheelchair-bound for two years because he had accidentally shot himself.
Diljit Dosanjh has reprised his role, and the flick is helmed by Shaad Ali Sahgal. The biopic also features Taapsee Pannu, Angad Bedi and Pitobash Tripathy as lead characters along with Kulabhushan Kharbanda and Vijay Raaj.
Hockey ace Sandeep Singh who is also known as Flicker Singh had the opportunity to watch the making of his biopic but also became an essential part of the film crew.
Sandeep was known as the quickest drag-flickers of the world. He was an integral part of the film crew choreographing the hockey sequences in the film.

He also made the team and the actors aware of the rules and the basics of the game. He also helped the actors Diljit Dosanjh and Angad Bedi learn the finer facts of the game and also get acquainted with the mannerisms and body language of the players.

Bikramjeet who is Sandeep’s brother supported him in every step of his life.
Bikramjeet also has a role in the flick and plays the role of an arch rival Pakistani player in the flick. Bikramjeet was hugely involved with the flick, and this was revealed by his brother.
Shot in native Haryana
The movie has been shot extensively in Singh’s hometown Shahabad and captures, in essence, the struggle and the triumph of the former Indian captain who overcame the most difficult challenges to come victorious.
