With his upcoming Hindi movie “Dhadak,” popular filmmaker Karan Johar will be introducing two new faces, Jhanvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khattar.

"Dhadak" is a remake of the hugely successful Marathi Film “Sairat.” In an interview with the Tims of India, Actress Jhanvi Kapoor, who is the daughter of late Indian female superstar Sridevi, stressed that the film renders a powerful social message. The movie will hit the screens on July 20, 2018.

The Marathi original “Sairat” was an honest and brutally truthful flick which had all the ingredients of rural India where caste still plays a huge factor in everyday life.

The background of "Dhadak" is rural Rajasthan. It is another region which has a history of caste-based violence and honor killings. It needs to be seen how the Hindi version gets the message across without making any commercial concessions.

Recently the 'Zingaat' song, which was an integral part of the Marathi "Sairat" was released. The song is significant regarding the storyline and characters of the film integral part. It is the second song which has been released.

Speaking of dancing skills, Jahnavi looks a bit heavy in the song. The song is a mix of English, Hindi, and Rajasthani and is sung with a lot of energy but still falls short of the Marathi version. Ishaan is very energetic, but Jhanvi fails to impress.

The Hindi version of the song 'Zingaat' from 'Sairat' fails to impress

The Marathi version of Zingaat is famous all over India, and this must have encouraged the director to include it in the Hindi version.

The Hindi version of "Zingat" has been sung and composed by Ajay-Atul, and it has been written by Amitabh Bhattacharya.

The song is very peppy and got a catchy tune. Crooned by Ajay-Atul, it is sure to top the charts.

Ishaan looks promising

Ishaan, who is the younger brother of actor Shahid Kapoor, looks impressive with his innocent aura and romance much akin to the first song. Full credit must be given to Farah Khan for getting the young star dance his heart out.

Jhanvi is also a delight to watch if you can take your eyes off Ishaan. However, the song cannot be compared with the Marathi version because the original song was not choreographed and people were gyrating to the beats. Hope the flick does not end up like the song.

Jhanavi Kapoor visited Tirupathi to take the blessings of Lord Srinivasa just days before the release of her film.
